Upcoming post on Haitian coins and early banknotes.

I am working on an article which will cover several issues related to the early coins of the Republic of Haiti issued under Petion and Boyer, and its initial banknotes issues. The Haitian numismatic field is, alas, full of "holes" and misconceptions, but the backup of contemporary documentation will be of much help to clarify them. Be sure to check this up this week-end.

The post will include in particular the early serpent coinage, of which several good specimens will be sold at CICF by Heritage Auctions. One of them is pictured below:
